Pastor

Rev. James McCoy-Bruce graduated from Furman University with a degree in Business Administration and Emory University with a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology.

He was first appointed in 1993 as a Student Local Pastor and was ordained an elder in the United Methodist Church in 2000, just seconds after Ashley. James has primarily served as a pastor or associate pastor over his years of ministry.

James grew up in Piedmont, SC and met Ashley while he was a senior at Furman (Ashley was a freshman). They celebrated 30 years of marriage in August 2023. He loves playing the piano, fiddling with technology, traveling to new places (especially with family), exploring different cuisines (except peaches), and sharing what little sense of humor he has.

James and Ashley have two young, adult children: Thomas, who works with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Jordan, who is a student at Western Carolina University.

Rev. Mollie Reddic

Rev. Mollie Reddic

Associate Pastor

mollie@trumc.org

Rev. Mollie Bame Reddic comes to TRUMC after serving for five years as the pastor of Lawrence Chapel UMC in the Central/Clemson area. Prior to that she served at St. Paul’s UMC in Greenville. She is an ordained elder in the SC United Methodist Conference. Rev. Reddic is not a stranger to TRUMC. She previously served TRUMC as the associate pastor from 2006-2014 where much of her ministry was focused on missions and young adult ministry. After a period of discernment last fall, she decided it was time to return to a role that allowed her to utilize her passion and gifts more fully for mission, advocacy and evangelism. We rejoice that Bishop Holston and the cabinet offered her the opportunity to return to TRUMC to focus on these very areas.

Rev. Reddic grew up in Mullins, SC and first heard the call to ministry as a teenager while attending her home church Macedonia UMC. She is a graduate of Columbia College and Candler School of Theology. Following seminary she moved to Leeds, England where she served two churches in the British Methodist Church. One of her great joys is international travel. She also enjoys gardening and sports. Rev. Reddic met her husband John while serving at TRUMC and they now have two children, Luke (8 ½ ) and Addie (7). John is a clinical chemist and currently works for Abbott Laboratories. John is also a huge supporter of Camp Gravatt, an episcopal camp near Aiken, SC.

Rev. John Holler

Rev. John Holler

Rev. John Holler serves as the Congregational Care Pastor at Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, bringing with him a lifetime of faithful ministry, advocacy, and service within the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.

A longtime friend and servant of Trenholm Road UMC, Rev. Holler rejoined the church in 2024 after retiring from his impactful tenure at Epworth Children’s Home, where he championed the needs of children and families for 15 years.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the state and its communities, Rev. Holler received South Carolina’s highest civilian honor—the Order of the Palmetto. Presented by Governor Henry McMaster, the award celebrated Rev. Holler's lifelong dedication to ministry and advocacy. McMaster, a fellow fraternity brother, described him as someone who “always stood out and had a big heart,” long before his pastoral journey began.

With decades of leadership in the church and child welfare, Rev. Holler continues to make a meaningful difference. His legacy is one of compassion, excellence, and unwavering service.

Rev. Holler is a proud alumnus of Wofford College.
